Our
most recent event saw Building Schools for Burma take over The Comedy
Store in Central London and featured some great acts including;
Rufus Hound, MC Stephen Grant (winner of Best Compere Chortle Awards
2011), Paul Sinha, Kevin Day, Paul Foot, Chris Martin , Tim Key
and David Schneider. All funds raised went towards the charity's
work providing and improving educational facilities for some of
the poorest children in the world.
The
first event was a gig at THE GINGLIK in Shepherd's Bush. It was
a great evening, thanks to everyone who came along. A special thanks
to all the guys who played that night, please have a look at their
websites.
A
huge thank you must also go to Andrew Foster, James Curthoys and
Mark Payne who cycled from Trafalgar Square to the Eiffel Tower
in Paris to raise over £1,000 for Building schools for Burma.
Andrew, Mark and Jim cycled over 280 miles from a very wet London
to a scorching hot Paris in 4 days averaging over 50 miles, 3000
calories, 6 litres of water and 2 of beer a day to complete this
challenge.
